``For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control.`` 2 Timothy 1:7

Catholic Men’s Fellowship Ministry

Our Purpose:  Through study, discussion, prayer, and fellowship, we strive to learn how to more fully live as Catholic men in the world today and through this process be renewed to serve in the ministries of the Church and evangelize the community in which we live.

Meetings:  second and fourth Wednesdays of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. in the parish hall, 575 Wells Street Erie, CO  80516

Study Materials: selected to support our purpose and structured to be self-contained lessons that allow an “attend as you can” format; however, we encourage everyone to participate on a regular basis to promote on-going spiritual growth and fellowship.

The meetings are structured in the following manner.

  1. Opening Prayer: Prayer to the Holy Spirit.
  2. Discussion Period:

Large group:

    • Scripture reading
    • Catechism reading
    • Modern situation

Small groups (if more than eight men in large group):

    • Questions for discussion and reflection
    • Action Planning: At the end of the discussion period, each man is encouraged to develop a plan of action for the coming weeks to follow-through on any aspects of the lesson or discussion that could be applied to his life.
    • Concluding Prayer: The meetings are closed with a prayer in which the participants may lift up their own needs. We then close the meeting with the “Lord’s Prayer.”

Ground Rules:

    • Maintain the confidentiality of that which is shared; and,
    • Stay focused on the subject when sharing.
