``in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk`` Acts of the Apostles 3:6

Evangelization: Acts of the Apostles with Dr. Mary Healy

Dear Community of Saint Scholastica,

It is a reality that our Catholic Church needs our help in the work of bringing the “Good News” to all of those that have left or who do not even know Christ. In almost every homily, we are asked to share Christ’s love and teachings with our neighbors.

How can we do this in this time of disbelief and social division? Well this is a situation that humanity has always had! That is why God our Father sent his only Son to give us hope and show us the way.

When we study the Acts of the Apostles we can learn from the struggles, persecutions and doubts the apostles and disciples of Jesus had after his crucifixion and then where they found courage to continue and to help the early church grow.

We are in the process of forming small groups that will meet at convenient times weekly for 1.5-2 hours to study the Acts of the Apostles. This study is for all parishioners, and includes viewing brief videos, small group discussions, and home study and reflection.  To find the dates and times that work best for people, we ask you to please click  HERE to indicate your availability and interest level.

After this program, you will have a deeper understanding of how the early Church grew and  tools to reflect on how God is inviting you into a closer relationship with Jesus and the Church.

You can see a one minute video that presents this program here:
