“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Mt 28:19-28

Baptism

“Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.  Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission.”  Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1213

Baptism for infants

We have two classes by which we hope to prepare Parents and Godparents for the Baptism of their child.  Once couples have conceived a child, please contact the parish office at parishoffice@stscholasticaerie.org to schedule the classes and to receive the requirements for selection of Godparents.

Baptism for children 7 years old and for adults

Please contact the parish office at parishoffice@stscholasticaerie.org to make special arrangements for the classes and participation in our RCIC and RCIA programs.  Both classes meet on Tuesday nights at 7:00 PM in the Church.
