OCIA – Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (formerly RCIA) is the ancient process whereby adults and youth older than 5th grade come to enter the Catholic Church. It is a spiritual journey involving prayer, study, and fellowship.
Interested in becoming catholic? Want to explore our Faith? Know someone who is interested in the Faith? If you are thinking about becoming Catholic, or know someone who is, or just have some questions about the Catholic Faith, you/they are invited to The O.C.I.A.
The O.C.I.A. includes prayer, study, dialogue, instruction and fellowship for those who desire to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church. It is also for those Catholics who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, and are beyond the 5th grade. The goal of O.C.I.A. is to learn more about the Catholic faith, to deepen one’s love for God, and to walk more closely as a disciple of Jesus.
Are you a Catholic who has never been confirmed?
Are you an adult Catholic who has only been baptized and would like to come into full communion with of the Catholic Church?
Are you a Catholic who needs Confirmation to get married in the Church, be a godparent or sponsor?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then O.I.C.A. is for you.
